Herbal Dyeing

The plant powders are blended with water and gently heated over a flame. The ratio of plant extract to water is carefully adjusted depending on the nature of each herb and the desired depth of color.

Once the water is infused with the natural hues and energetic qualities of the plants, it is strained through muslin cloth to separate the fine powders from the liquid dye.

Because our powders come directly from plants, the remaining residue is never wasted it is returned to the earth, enriching the soil. Every by-product of our dyeing process goes back into nurturing our Ayurvedic garden, completing a mindful cycle of creation and renewal.
